Diflucan is an externally administered medicine that contains fluconazole as its primary ingredient. It is an antifungal medicine.

Diflucan is used for the treatment of vaginal, esophageal, and oral infections mainly caused by Candida – a type of yeast. It is also prescribed for treating fungal infections infested in people due to a weak immune system; mainly resulting from cancer treatment, transplant of bone marrow or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
