Common side effects of clindamycin
Although severe side effects of this medicine are rare, there have been instances of such effects on a few users. The major side effects of clindamycin are mentioned below and will require immediate medical attention.

- Changes in bowel habits
- Severe abdominal pain
- Decreased urge to urinate
- Metallic taste in mouth particularly after clindamycin injection
- Too watery or bloody diarrhea
- A severe skin reaction causing skin rash, swollen glands, fever, unusual bruising, symptoms of jaundice such as yellowing of the skin and eyes, flu-like symptoms, etc.
There are minor side effects of this drug too, but these are temporary and tend to go away once treatment is completed. It is possible you might not even experience any side effects at all.
